Swedish Meatballs

Swedish Meatballs

Swedish meatballs, synonymous with both Sweden and IKEA, are tasty little balls of beef or veal that are smothered in a rich and creamy gravy. They are also wonderfully versatile. You can serve them over some hot buttered noodles or creamy mashed potatoes, or you can just stand over the pan and scarf them down eat them. To help cut the richness of the sauce serve them with some lignonberry sauce, or if you can’t find lingonberries try a cranberry sauce or a quick cucumber pickle.
