Mac'n'Cheese side dish and serving ideas

Mac’n’Cheese

Mac’n’Cheese

Mac’n’cheese is probably the most iconic American pasta dish. It originated in the UK and was brought to the USA by Thomas Jefferson. And who could blame him? It’s creamy, cheesy and comforting deliciousness has won the hearts and stomachs of most all who have tried it.

Everyone has their own special way of making it too. Some make it from a little blue box, while others mix up their own special cheese sauce and mix in perfectly cooked macaroni noodles. Others add a buttery crumb topping and bake it.  You can mix in vegetables or even pulled pork. You can even make it and deep fry it!

Whether it comes from a packet or made from scratch Mac’n’Cheese is a dish of many sides. It can be eaten as a main dish with a cool crisp salad or served up as a side dish to everything from fried chicken to bbq ribs to meatloaf and all sorts of tastiness in between.
